Low-Force Gentle Spinal Manipulation (Chiropractic Adjustment) - Bryant AR

What Is Spinal Manipulation (Chiropractic Adjustment)?

A spinal manipulation, also called a chiropractic adjustment, is a hands-on technique used by Doctors of Chiropractic to treat problems with the bones and muscles in the spine. The Doctor of Chiropractic applies controlled pressure to specific areas of the spine to improve joint movement, reduce pain, and help the body function better. This can be done by using a number of techniques, and sometimes with the assistance of adjusting instruments.  The goal of the adjustment is to fix the alignment of the spine, relieve nerve problems, and support the body's natural healing process, leading to improved health and well-being.

What Does Spinal Manipulation Do?

A chiropractic adjustment plays a vital role in promoting musculoskeletal health and overall well-being. By improving spinal alignment and joint mobility, it helps alleviate pain, enhance physical function, and support the body's natural healing processes. It can address various conditions, such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, and more. By reducing nerve interference and restoring proper biomechanics, chiropractic adjustments contribute to improved posture, better nervous system function, and optimal body performance, allowing individuals to lead healthier, more active lives.

Why Do We Use Gentle, Low-Force Adjusting Techniques At Clearstone Chiropractic Center?

In addition to conventional chiropractic manipulation, we offer low-force, high-velocity techniques that are particularly suitable for elderly patients, individuals with osteoporosis, children, or those who prefer a gentle approach. Our Doctors of Chiropractic prioritize gentle yet effective methods.

Contrary to common misconceptions, chiropractic treatment extends beyond addressing back pain and provides positive outcomes for various joint and muscle-related conditions such as sciatica, neck and back pain, shoulder and hip pain, wrist pain, headaches, and disc problems. It can also be beneficial for conditions like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and nerve entrapment resulting from disc herniation. By optimizing the structure and function of joints, muscles, and nerves, chiropractic adjustments directly reduce pain.

While many chiropractors use high-velocity low-amplitude (HVLA) thrusts to target specific joints, our practice, Clearstone Chiropractic Center, employs a combination of instrument-assisted adjusting and gentle low-force manipulative techniques to facilitate joint movement. Rest assured, there is no need for twisting or forceful thrusting during treatment.

Dr Roth is my miracle. I found out in my 30’s that I had one leg shorter than the other, and my pelvis was tilted causing a double curve of my lower spine. My previous chiropractor said to leave it alone and no need to correct it. Fast forward into my 40’s and this caused a herniated disk between L4/L5 that dropped me to the floor in plain. My options? I chose to visit Dr Roth instead of the surgical route. Dr Ryan took the time to examine me and then fully explain what had happened and created a treatment plan to get me back good as new. I went through traction therapy along with manual adjustments, and gradually raised my short leg with lifts and can happily report that I felt better than I had in years and felt completely restored. Here we are a few years later I’m still doing great, to the point of being up for helping move a slate pool table. The pain in my lower back was a weird one. It was excruciating to transition from sitting to standing and bending over was impossible. But once up, I was ok. To shorten the story, the back held up fine, but I sprained my SI joint. Once again, Dr Roth to my rescue. It was painful to get out of the car and walk in, but by the time Ryan was done examining, diagnosing, and then explaining everything to me, then treating me, I was able to stand up without much pain. The healing process is a long one for a sprain, just like a sprained ankle, but Dr Roth gave me instructions on what to do over the next week which I followed and can report that now 1.5 weeks the pain is down over 90%, and I have been able to sleep through the nights without painful tossing and turning. I am on track to hit 100% soon!If you are looking for a Dr that takes the time to diagnose the cause and then take the time to fix that underlying issue, then Dr Roth is a great choice. To many Doctors and chiropractor will simply treat the symptoms without going that extra step to improve the long-term quality of life by correcting what caused the issue in the first place.Thank you Dr Roth for everything you have done for me!
